Chris Darby

We'd like to give a warm welcome to our newest artist here at Sixty Years War, Chris Darby!

Chris is a good friend of ours from Chicago who we've been bigs fans of for quite some time.

He's going to be doing a lot of interesting projects here at the label and we're honored to have him working with us! In fact, Chris' first endeavor with us will be the Thirty One project which will have him writing and recording a new song everyday for the entire month of December.

We've started a new blog site where he will be posting each song every day next month right here. You the listener will also be able to interact with (and perhaps inspire) Chris during the course of the month by leaving feedback on each song in the comments!

Also next month, we will hopefully be releasing a beautiful record by the name of Noise, that Chris has had in his pocket for a little while now. It will be a free digital EP that will be available for download right here.

We're exited about all of the future projects Chris will be undertaking, definitely keep an eye on what he'll be doing in the future! To hear more music from him you can check out his MySpace or his band, Them Damn Kids over at Chestnut Tree Records our good friends based in Bloomington, IN.

If you weren't aware, you should take the opportunity to check out Emily Hunt's print shop on Etsy.com. You can purchase original Polaroid photos as well as reprints from professionally scanned negatives. Some of the photos for sale are ones that are featured on this website. To those interested, this is a great opportunity to start collecting pieces from an artist whose work will certainly fetch much higher prices in the near future!

Don't waste any more time! Go take a look!

Halloween

This past Saturday, The 509 in Huntington, IN hosted a benefit show to raise money for an organic vegetable garden to grow produce for the local community and to donate to food banks in the area.

Longsleeves and Pezzettino were part of the event and Drew Allegre was on hand to take some photos.
